Tiger Boys Play Most Complete Game of Year, Down Jefferson

Worth County played their most complete game of the year Friday night, downing Jefferson 67-49 in the semifinal round of the Stanberry Tournament. Worth County raced out to a 20-5 lead in the first quarter and managed to maintain it for the rest of the game.

It figured to be a close game as Jefferson came in with a 9-3 record and Worth County was 7-4. But Worth County was clicking on all four cylinders with Cade Allee back. If North Andrew has established themselves as the top Class 1 boys team in the area with their subsequent win over Worth County, the Tigers have just as little competition for the second best team, unless Pattonsburg (this Friday at Courtwarming) or someone else shows otherwise.

Caleb Parman had a career night for Worth County, scoring 18 points and six 3-pointers. Ryan McClellan had 15 points, also a career night. Two other Tigers hit double figures as Drake Kinsella had 14 and Cade Allee had 12. Mason Hawk had 8.

Jefferson tried frantically to get back in the game, collecting a ton of offensive boards in the fourth quarter, but could not get any closer than 14 as Worth County got timely baskets from Cade Allee and Drake Kinsella to fend off the Eagles.
