Wilma Jean Wilson, age 84, Blythedale, passed away Saturday January 6, 2018 at Crestview Home. She was born September 28, 1933 in Blythedale, Missouri. Wilma was the only child of Dean and Flossie (Matson) Gillespie.
Wilma Jean graduated from Blythedale High School in 1952. She married Gerald “E” Wilson July 19, 1958. Wilma Jean worked for the Citizens Bank at Blythedale and Eagleville for over 50 years, where she made many friends.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Epsilon Delta. She also served her community in various civic positions, including Blythedale Town Board Community Club, and the Blythedale Fair Board. She was a member of the Blythedale Christian Church.
Wilma Jean was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Gerald. She is survived by her daughter Patricia (John) View III, Nixa, Missouri, and son Dean (Monica) Wilson, Blythedale, Missouri. One aunt, Creta Reeder, Ridgeway, Missouri. One niece Janice Wilson, one nephew Edmond Wilson, 6 grandchildren: John View IV, Brent Wilson, Amber Wilson, Kayka Wilson, Tara Robbins and Tamara Vannaman; 6 great grandchildren: Dakota (Ashley) Vannaman, Sheay Vannaman, Hunter Vannaman, Dalton Robbins, Victoria (Conner) Robbins-Hunt, Ashlie Robbins.
Funeral services were Saturday, Jan 13, 2018 at the Christian Church, Eagleville with Pastor Charlie McKinny officiating. Burial was at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Blythedale.
Donation in lieu of flowers to Neville/Cedar Hill Cemetery, Blythedale Christian Church, Harrison County Hospice or Charity of the donor’s choice. Arrangements were under the direction of the Bethany Memorial Chapel.
