Country singer Jason Craig, better known as Jason Parman, sang the National Anthem Wednesday night at the first-ever game for the Kansas City Tornados, a new professional basketball team. The Tornadoes are part of a new league, the North American Premier Basketball League. The Tornados played the Kentucky Thoroughbreds and fell 114-110.
Jason Parman, a Worth County R-III Grad, went on to become a country singer and songwriter. He wrote a song about his home town, “Worth Countin’ On,” and other songs about life in Northwest Missouri. He performed in concert in Sheridan, Grant City, and Eagleville. He has formed the band Jason Craig and the Wingmen, which performs at concerts around the area.
