Drake Kinsella Hits 20 as Tiger Boys Win Opener

Worth County’s boys outscored South Nodaway in every quarter and won the opening round of the Stanberry Tournament 64-38 Tuesday. Offensively, Worth County got 20 points from Drake Kinsella along with three players in double figures. Ryan McClellan and Mason Hawk had 10, Caleb Parman and Cade Allee had 9 each, Tevin Cameron had 4, and Jaxon Anderson had 2.

The Tigers outscored South Nodaway 14-7 after one and scored 21 points in the second quarter to take a 35-14 lead at the half. They were 10 for 20 from the line.

Worth County played strong defensively, limiting Longhorn standout Taylar Freemyer to 8 points. To show how loaded the Stanberry Tournament was this year, South Nodaway, who was seeded first at the PVI, was seeded seventh this year and was ousted by King City.
