Twelve different Tigers scored Thursday in Worth County’s 50-7 junior high girls win over Avenue City as Worth County grabbed the consolation trophy of the Platte Valley Tournament after dropping its second game to NEN this year in the first round. Worth County forced 33 tips and 28 steals as they kept the pressure on the Aces all night. Many games in the past between the Tigers and Aces have been decided by one or two possessions, including a half-court heave that won the game for the Aces one year, but this one was over early.
Brooklyn Smith had 19 points in the win. Brecklyn Rush had 5, Gwyn Healy and Daden Findley 4, Renae Gladstone and Kaydence Downing 3, and Keylee Smith, Jane Hawk, Addie Cadle, Teagan Saville, Kyah Joslin, and Gabbey Maudlin with 2 each.
Gabbey Maudlin, Addie Cadle, Tatum Allee, Kaydence Downing, and Daden Findley had 1 block each.
Gwyn Healy had 4 boards. Keylee Smith and Gabbey Maudlin had 3 each, Brooklyn Smith, Brecklyn Rush, Renae Gladstone, Addie Cadle, Catelynn Moyer, and Jolee Hauber 2, and Jane Hawk, Hadley Rush, Daden Findley, Kaeslyn Briner, Kyah Joslin, and Hadley Downing with 1.

Worth County jumped out to a 12-2 lead after one, and then Brooklyn Smith erupted with 12 points in the second quarter as the Tigers pulled away to a 36-3 halftime lead. Brecklyn Rush added 5 in the period.
