The February 26th, 1925 Bedford Times-Press had the following item about four hobos who found their way to Blockton:
On Thursday evening of last week about ten or eleven o’clock, as we understand it, four “bo’s” alighted from a freight train at this place. There was nothing unusual about that. There was a good fire at the station and an abundance of our celebrated Platte River water, which made this a most inviting place to stop.
On Friday, it became known that one member of the quartet was a member of the weaker sex and raiment first introduced into this was clad in the kind of garb or country by a man by the name of Adam, and possibly improved upon in style at “Oshkosh, begosh,” and other points.
Strange things do happen over at Editor Nulph’s town of Blockton.
