Weekly Area Road Work -- Work on 169 Continues

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of October 9 - 12, from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Weather conditions may cause postponements in planned work schedules. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures, and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, and drive with extreme caution through work zones.

• Route T - U.S. Hwy 71 interchange; overlay, October 9
• U.S. Hwy 71 - Northbound from Interstate-229/I-29/U.S. Hwy 71 interchange to County Road 154; ongoing asphalt overlay project

Atchison County

• U.S. Hwy 136 - CLOSED at the Little Tarkio Creek Bridge; bridge replacement

Buchanan County

• I-29 - Southbound from mile marker 42 (just south of St. Joseph) to mile marker 29 (near Route 116 overpass); ongoing pavement resurfacing

Gentry County

• U.S. Hwy 169 - From Route 46 (Worth County) to U.S. Hwy 136; on-going bridge, highway and shoulder improvement project (includes a 10 foot width restriction)

Nodaway County

• Route FF - CLOSED one-tenth of a mile south of 210th Street; culvert replacement, October 9, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Various routes - Mowing, October 9-12
• U.S. Hwy 71 - from the Iowa State line to Route M; mowing, October 9-12
• Route UU - CLOSED one-tenth of a miles south of 120th Street; culvert replacement, October 10, 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
• Route 46 - Nodaway River Bridge; deck sealing, October 10
• Route M - 102 River Bridge; deck sealing, October 11

Worth County

• U.S. Hwy 169 - From Route 46 to U.S. Hwy 136 (Gentry County); on-going bridge, highway and shoulder improvement project (includes a 10 foot width restriction)
