Worth County's Junior High Boys won 34-25 over St. Gregory's Monday, October 22nd and Drake Kinsella poured in 20 points in his junior high debut. The Tigers enjoyed a big size advantage over the Falcons, building up a 21-8 lead after three quarters. They used a balanced attack with Drake scoring 7, Cade Allee 6, and Mason Hawk 6. But then the Falcons begun a frantic rally, pressing and trapping and pushing the ball up the floor to score the first six points of the fourth quarter to cut it to 21-14.
That's when Drake Kinsella took over for the Tigers, taking over and answering the Falcons basket for basket, scoring all 13 of Worth County's points in the final quarter. He converted a 3-point play to start his run, then followed with a pair of inbounds plays, and then knocked down a pair of free throws as St. Gregory's could not get the deficit any closer. The closest St. Gregory's would come was 32-25 and a chance to cut it to 5 in the closing seconds. But then they missed a 3-pointer and a followup runner with 13.9 seconds left and Drake knocked down a pair of free throws to seal the game.
