Cassie Gilland Starts Off Coaching Successfully

Former Worth County softball player Cassie Gilland has started her high school coaching career off with a successful season.
Cassie was added to the coaching staff of Northeast Randolph R IV high school, located at Cairo, Mo. this year as the assistant coach. The school district is in the 1A division.
The team improved from a 14 and 11 record last year with 1 win in the district tournament, to an overall record of 19 and 5 this year, and won their district tournament, as well as their sectional matchup with Meadville before falling one victory short of making it to the final four at Springfield.
Cassie was a member of the last Worth County team to make it to the final four (in 2005) pitching and playing second base for the Tigers.
