County Commission Minutes -- County to Start Work on Street Running South of Sheridan

Presiding Commissioner Findley called the meeting to order at 9:10 am.

1.       County Clerk Roberta Owen presented various paperwork items to the commissioners.

2.       Commissioner Dennis Gabbert read the  Petition to Vacate Road, (RSMo 228.110) Old 169 (CR224) from its intersection with Highway 169 on the North to the location adjourning the north-south boundary between Mashchhoffs’ land, and Christopher Adams’ land in Section 10. A copy of the map available in Clerk’s office

3.       Commissioner Rob Ruckman reported the gas prices as $3.69⁹ and diesel as $3.84⁹              

4.       Commissioner Rob Ruckman made a motion to approve the minutes and agenda. Commissioner Dennis Gabbert seconded. All in favor, motion carried.

5.       Treasurer Linda Brown presented the weekly balance sheet.

6.       Pat Kobbe, County EMD stopped by to bring the Emergency Operations Plan for the Commissioners to study before the October 11^th exercise.

7.       Economic Developer Tammy Ueligger Reported that she missed the deadline for the chipper grant, but it will be offered again in the spring. The business of the month is Hannah Bear fabrics in Allendale. Ted Findley won the table runner that had been donated by Rita Glenn, owner of the business.

8.       Road and Bridge Foreman Jim Fletchall’s report: Fletchall reported by phone this week.

·         Fletchall requested and was granted permission to rip up the street running south out of Sheridan.

·         There is a bad tube on CR 103/200^th Road.

9.       Commissioner Dennis Gabbert made a motion to reject all bids and get new bids from all vendors for the Sheriff’s pickup. Commissioner Rob Ruckman seconded. All in favor, motion carried.

10.   Commissioner Dennis Gabbert made a motion to recess at 12:30 for lunch.  Commissioner Rob Ruckman seconded.  All in favor, motion carried.

Presiding Commissioner brought the afternoon session to order at 2:55 pm.

11.   The Commissioners decided to advertise for the Road and Bridge position one more time. They will accept applications until October 22^nd at 1:00pm

12.   Commissioner Dennis Gabbert made a motion to adjourn at 4:55pm. Commissioner Rob Ruckman seconded. All in favor, motion carried.
