Two Serious Teen Injuries in Ravenwood Accident Monday

Two people were seriously injured in a two-car accident four miles south of Ravenwood Monday shortly after 7. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2003 Pont Van driven by Devon Stephenson (38) of Maryville was northbound on 136 when it struck a 1981 Mack Truck driven by Phillip Seipel (55) of Ravenwood, also northbound on 136. The van slid off the east side of the roadway, struck a ditch, and ejected one of the passengers. The van came to rest upright off the east side of the roadway. The truck came to a controlled stop on 136.

Two teens were seriously injured in the accident. Callie Files (15) of Maryville was seriously injured and was lifeflighted to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph. Another teen, Lindsey Wiederholt of Clyde (15) received serious injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Francis Hospital in Maryville. Chase Stephenson (1) received minor injuries and was taken by private vehicle to St. Francis. All three were passengers in the van.
