Sheridan Receives Water Tower Inspection

The City of Sheridan received a water tower inspection and received recommendations for its upkeep and maintenance. A change from past years which benefited the city was the fact that the city did not have to drain the water tower this time, as it was done with robots cameras inserted into the tower. That would have affected the ability of the city to provide water in the event of an emergency since the water reserves have gone down due to the drought. The city will change a filter screen on the bottom. The city has also been doing electrical work on the main plant; an electrician was at the plant Monday afternoon. Water Superintendent Dave Parman said that the city had held up better than some other communities in the area; for instance, Skidmore had to truck water in from outside as they nearly ran out of water.
