Weekly Roadwork -- Route C to Receive Pothole Patching

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of Sept. 17 - Sept. 21, from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Weather conditions may cause postponements in planned work schedules. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures, and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, and drive with extreme caution through work zones.

Andrew County

• Interstate 29, Interstate 229 & U.S. Hwy 71 interchange - CLOSED various ramps; cold milling, September 17. Work will begin at 7 a.m. and all lanes and ramps should be re-opened by the end of the day. Closures will proceed in the following order:

1. U.S. Hwy 71 southbound to I-29 northbound
2.  I-29 northbound to I-229 southbound
3. U.S. Hwy 71 southbound to I-229 southbound
4. U.S. Hwy 71 southbound to I-29 southbound
5. I-29 southbound to Route 71 northbound
6. I-229 northbound to I-29 northbound
7. I-229 northbound to Route 71 northbound
8. I-29 northbound to Route 71 northbound
9. Various Routes - Bridge sealing, September 17-21

• U.S. Hwy 71 - Northbound from Interstate 29 to just north of U.S. Hwy 59; concrete pavement repair, milling and asphalt work, September 19-20  

Buchanan County

• I-29 - Southbound MFA bridge (north of East Lake Boulevard); bridge sealing, September 17
• I-29- From mile marker 42 (just south of St. Joseph) to mile marker 29 (near Route 116 overpass); ongoing pavement resurfacing

Gentry County

• Route C - From the Worth County line to U.S. Hwy 136; pothole patching, September 17
• Route Z - Pothole patching, September 17-21
• U.S. Hwy 169 - From Route 46 to U.S. Hwy 136; on-going bridge, highway and shoulder improvement project (includes a 10 foot width restriction)

Harrison County

• Interstate 35 - Southbound from mile marker 114 (near Iowa State line) to mile marker 112.6; concrete replacement, September 17
• Interstate 35 - CLOSED Southbound exit ramp to U.S. Hwy 69 north; concrete replacement, September 17 from 7 am to 3 pm
• Route H - From Interstate 35 to Route 146; pothole patching, September 17
• U.S. Hwy 136 - From Interstate 35 to the Mercer County line; pothole patching, September 18-19
• Interstate 35 - Southbound from mile marker 110 (near Iowa State line) to mile marker 109.4; concrete replacement, September 18-19
• Route B - Pothole patching, September 20-21

Nodaway County

• Various Routes - Shoulder work, September 17-21
• Route V - CLOSED from Hallmark Road to Route H; culvert replacement, September 20 from 7 am to 3 pm
