Weekly Area Road Work for September 5th, 2012

The following is a listing of general highway maintenance and construction work in the Northwest Missouri region for the week of September 4- September 7, from the Missouri Department of Transportation. Weather conditions may cause postponements in planned work schedules. Other construction or maintenance work may occur on other roadways throughout the area. Many projects will include lane closures, and delays can be expected. MoDOT reminds the public to buckle up, slow down, and drive with extreme caution through work zones.

Andrew County

• U.S. Hwy 71 - From Interstate 29 north to U.S. Hwy 59 (near Savannah); concrete pavement repair, ongoing pavement overlay project 
• Sept. 4 & 5 (Tuesday & Wednesday) - Southbound Route 59 ramps will be closed for    repair from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m. 
• Sept. 6 (Thursday) &  Sept. 10 (Monday) - Southbound U.S. Hwy. 71 and I-229 will be   narrowed to one lane.

Atchison County

• U.S. Hwy 136 - CLOSING (September 4), at the Little Tarkio Creek Bridge; bridge replacement

Buchanan County

• Interstate -29 - Southbound from mile marker 42 (just south of St. Joseph) to mile marker 29 (near Route 116 overpass); ongoing pavement resurfacing

Daviess County

• Route 13 - From Hamilton (Caldwell County) to Gallatin; shoulder work, September 5-7

Gentry County

• Route J - From Route C to Route EE (Harrison County); pothole patching, September 4-7
• Route C - From Worth County line to U.S. Hwy 136; pothole patching, September 7
• U.S. Hwy 169 - From Route 46 to U.S. Hwy 136; on-going bridge, highway and shoulder improvement project (includes a 10 foot width restriction)

Harrison County

• Route 46 - From Route HH to Route D; pothole patching, September 4
• Route J - From Route C (Gentry County) to Route EE (Harrison County); pothole patching, September 4-7
• Interstate 35 - Southbound from mile marker 89 (near Route 13 Exit) to mile marker 83; concrete replacement, September 4-7
• Route H - From I-35 to Route 146; pothole patching, September 4-7

Nodaway County

• U.S. Hwy 136 - From U.S. Hwy 71 Bypass to Route 46; pavement repair, September 4
• Route TT - Pothole patching, September 5-7
• Route FF - CLOSED at 185th Street; tube replacement, September 6
• Route UU - Pothole patching, September 7

Worth County

• Route C - From Route 46 to Gentry County line; pothole patching, September 5-6
