School Board Hires Two Teachers, Tenures a Third

During the March Board Meeting last night, the Worth County R3 Board of Education hired two new teachers for the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.  The Board offered contracts to Hadley Roberts for HS Physical Education and Brittany Schlapia for second grade.  The Board also voted last evening to offer Tiffany Bliley a permanent teaching contract for the 2019-2020 school year.  The board also renewed contracts for the returning teachers of the district.

In addition to personnel business, the board approved a 5- year contract for exclusive beverage sales with Coca-Cola and a 3-year mowing contract for non-athletic fields to Anthony Steinhauser. The superintendent reviewed for the board the bid proposals for Banking Services submitted from three financial institutions, BTC (Albany), Citizens Bank (Maryville) and Great Western Bank (Grant City). They will approve Banking Services at next month's meeting.

In addition, the board approved the second reading of Board Policies 3510 -3740, updated wording for the teacher contracts, and stipends for those teachers instructing dual credit courses.
