Wayne was born February 20, 1936 in rural Eagleville, the son of Dale E. and Evelyn (Edwards) Campbell.
On December 16, 1954 Wayne married Marilyn Campbell. She preceded him in death on December 23, 2000. He then married Katy James. She survives of the home.
Wayne was a mechanic at his shop Campbell’s Garage in Eagleville. He was also a farmer.
Survivors in addition to his wife, Katy, are 3 sons, Gary Campbell, Eagleville, MO, Bill (Patty) Campbell, Olathe, KS, and Tom (Sharon) Campbell, Warsaw, MO; 1 daughter, Cheryl (Mike) Simmons, Eagleville, MO; grandchildren, Dylan, Hannah, Zach, Shane (Tiffany), Brant (Jen), Steven and Sara; great-grandchildren, Kyristen, Addison, and Kaelyn; and a half-brother, Don (Emily) McClain, Maryville, MO.
Wayne has been cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville, MO. Private services will be held at a later date with inurnment at Allen Cemetery, Eagleville, MO. Memorial contributions may be made to Hobbs Cemetery and/or Allen Cemetery in care of Roberson Funeral Home P.O. Box 46, Eagleville, MO 64442.
