Charles Florea Killed in Wreck Near Pattonsburg

Charles Florea (85) of Grant City was killed in a wreck Thursday morning near Pattonsburg. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by Florea was southbound on I-35 at the 77 mile marker one mile south of Pattonsburg at around 7:45 am. when it lost control on the ice-covered roadway. The vehicle traveled off the west side, down an embankment, and overturned. The vehicle came to rest on its top facing west. Florea was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
