Child Receives Minor Injuries in Ridgeway Wreck

A ten year old child was injured in Ridgeway in a wreck with a parked car Thursday morning. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 1999 Mercury Sable driven by Gary O’Dell (63) of Ridgeway was eastbound on Spruce Street in Ridgeway at around 7:45 am, while a 1997 Ford Ecoline with an unknown owner was parked on Spruce Street. The driver of the Sable stated he was blinded by the sunlight and did not see the parked vehicle. The front passenger side of the Sable struck the front passenger side of the Ecoline. A passenger, Violet McClellen (10) of Ridgeway, received minor injuries in the wreck. A passenger, Becky O’Dell (56) of Ridgeway, was not injured. All were wearing seat belts at the time of the accident.
