Courthouse News for March 13th, 2019

Kevin Jungers, 31, of Lenox, was arrested at 501 E Ohio in Lenox, on March 6, 2019. He was wanted on an active warrant out of Taylor County for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Domestic Abuse. He is being held at the Taylor County Jail on $1,000 cash bond.

On March 6th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Jacqulyn Lurten (36) of Bethany alleging Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), Tampering with Physical Evidence (Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Prior), Failure to Signal, and No Seat Belt.

On March 6th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Robert Rice filed charges against Ethan Hung (17) of Maryville alleging Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway (Accident).

On March 10th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Susan Walters (50) of Blockton in Worth County on charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance (Felony), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of Marijuana.

On March 11th, Harrison County Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer filed charges against Phillip Stewart (72) of Lee’s Summit alleging No Insurance.

Missouri Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft commended the office’s Securities Division for its role in investigating a Clinton, Mo. man who was sentenced in federal court for a $4.7 million investment cattle fraud scheme that involved more than 90 investors across 21 states on March 12th. “Over many months, our securities division investigated Cameron J. Hager and worked with the Federal Bureau of Investigation to bring an iron-clad case against him,” Ashcroft said. “We’re pleased to coordinate with federal officials and the Office of the U.S. Attorney, Western District, to bring this to a conclusion and obtain restitution for his victims.” Hager was sentenced to eight years in federal prison without parole and was ordered to pay more than $3.2 million in restitution. He pled guilty last June to one count of wire fraud and one count of money laundering.

On March 12th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Bryson Davis (39) of Stanberry alleging Domestic Assault (Felony), Resisting Arrest for a Felony (Felony), Possession of Marijuana (Prior), and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Prior). Bond was set at $10,000, cash or 10% corporate surety.

Charges listed are mere allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
