Bedford Man Seriously Injured in Quitman Wreck

A Bedford man was seriously injured one mile south of Quitman Wednesday morning. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 2012 Toyota Scion driven by Todd Poppa (51) was northbound on 113 at around 10:03 am when it struck the bridge abutment. It came to rest on its wheels facing east in the middle of the bridge on 113. Poppa was seriously injured and was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Maryville. He was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
