Junior High Tiger Girls Beat Tough Field at South Harrison

Worth County’s junior high girls beat out a tough field at South Harrison Monday to keep on their winning ways. Worth County had 134.5 points. South Harrison had 92.5, Trenton 72, Maryville 70, Gallatin 67, Albany 36, Princeton 28, Winston 15, King City 14, Maysville 14, North Harrison 10, Gilman City 2, and Mercer 2.

Catelynn Moyer was second in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.34 meters. Gabbey Maudlin was second in the Discus with a throw of 24.66 meters. Jane Hawk was fourth with a throw of 23.06 meters.

Kinley Fletchall was tied for second in the High Jump with a jump of 1.40 meters. Brecklyn Rush was fourth, also with a height of 1.40 meters. The Tigers were 1-2 in the Pole Vault. Renae Gladstone won it with a height of 2.13 meters. Hadley Rush was second with a height of 1.98 meters. The Tigers were also 1-2 in the Triple Jump. Kylie Combs won with a jump of 9.14 meters. Hadley Rush was second with a jump of 8.86 meters. Kaydence Downing was fifth in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.93 meters.

Renae Gladstone was third in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 19.84. Brooklyn Smith was tantalizingly close to winning the 100 all year and finally did it, edging out A.J. Kamet (Trenton) by less than one hundredth of a second to do it. She had a time of 14.85. Kaeslyn Briner was sixth in the 1600 with a time of 7:28.59. Kaydence Downing was third in the 400 with a time of 1:10.50. Karleigh Guinn was eighth with a time of 1:15.18. Hadley Rush was third in the 800 with a time of 2:55.55. Kinley Fletchall was sixth with a time of 3:02.30. Brooklyn Smith had an easier time winning the 200, getting a time of 29.97 and winning by almost a second.

The 4x200 Relay Team won with a time of 2:03.23. The 4x100 was second with a time of 56.17. The 4x400 was fifth with a time of 5:22.33.

For the boys, they came tantalizingly close to Trenton, but got beat out by one point. Trenton had 113, Worth County 112, Maryville 96, King City 59, Maysville 39, Gallatin 36, Albany 30, Princeton 28, North Harrison 19, Winston 13, South Harrison 9, Mercer 4, and East Harrison 3.

Gunnar Smith was fourth in the Shot Put with a throw of 11.24 meters. Weston Hill was eighth with a throw of 9.75 meters. Jakob Herbert was sixth in the Discus with a throw of 26.81 meters. Hudson Cameron was seventh with a throw of 26.16 meters.

Jarrett Gilland was seventh in the High Jump with a jump of 1.55 meters. Gilland was third in the Pole Vault with a height of 2.44 meters. Max Hiatt was tied for fourth with a height of 2.44 meters. Silas Brown was second in the Triple Jump with a jump of 10.55 meters. Jace Mullock was seventh with a jump of 9.41. Cole Hardy and Silas Brown were tied for fourth in the Long Jump, both with a jump of 4.69 meters.

Silas Brown was second in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.33. Max Hiatt was third with a time of 19.17. The Tigers were 1-2 in the 100 as Cole Hardy won with a time of 12.64. Hudson Cameron was second with a time of 13.13. Cole Hardy won the 400 with a time of 58.18. Cole Hardy won the 200 with a time of 25.54.

The 4x200 Relay Team won with a time of 1:48.53. The 4x100 won with a time of 50.59. The 4x400 was seventh with a time of 4:52.65.
