John Lynch Freeman, 83, of Gardner, Kansas formerly of Maryville passed away on April 9, 2026, at the University of Kansas Hospital in Olathe, Kansas.
John was born on January 13, 1943, in Hopkins, Missouri to Lawrence and Helen (Lynch) Freeman. He was a 1961 graduate of North Nodaway High School and was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church. During his life he worked at several businesses, including Pamida, Places Department Store, Conoco in Olathe and a parts driver for Auto Zone.
He married Sharon L. Ashford on February 6, 1964. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include their children, Michael Freeman and Lori Webb; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Elizabeth “BJ” Lewis and brother, Lawrence “Butch” Freeman.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2nd from 10:00 am to 12 noon at Price Funeral Home. A private family burial will follow at White Oak Cemetery in Pickering, Missouri.
