Casey Scott, a Democrat, filed for Missouri House District 2 Tuesday. Normally, the filing deadline for the August primaries is March 31st. But since incumbent Mazzie Christensen dropped out at the last minute, the filing period for the district reopened. Republican Freddie Griffin Jr. and Libertarian Shelby Dreier have already filed. The three candidates will oppose each other in the November general election.
