Jhet Rinehart, Charlie Frank Propel Shamrock Boys to Strong Finish

Jhet Rinehart and Charlie Frank propelled North Harrison’s junior high boys team to a strong second place finish at their home meet Tuesday, April 14th with 92 team points behind Worth County. Jhet lived up to his name in the High Jump with a first place finish of 1.50 meters. Scotty Briggs was third with a height of 1.37 meters. The other winner that afternoon was Charlie Frank in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.80 meters. That was .74 of a meter over his previous best. Kade Smith was second with a jump of 4.65 meters. Hayze Pottorff got a personal best with a jump of 4.20 meters.

In other results, Hayze Pottorff was fifth in the 100 with a time of 14.91. Coy Osborn beat his previous mark by 1.27 seconds and was sixth with a time of 15.03. Also setting a personal best that day was Dayton Stevens with a time of 18.42.

Hayze Pottorff was third in the 200 with a time of 30.41. Eli Jacobs was fourth with a time of 31.39. Scotty Briggs was second in the 400 with a time of 1:01.25, close to his personal mark. Jhet Rinehart was third with a personal best time of 1:05.02. Matt Richardson was second in the 800 with a time of 3:31.47. Jhet Rinehart was third in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 19.34. Kade Smith was sixth with a personal best time of 22.14.

The 4x100 team of Jhet Rinehart, Leon Robinson, Charlie Frank, and Scotty Briggs was second with a time of 56.46, already nipping on the heels of the high school team, which has broken the school record in the 4x100. The 4x200 team of Logan Hamilton, Myer Gibson, Kade Smith, and Charlie Frank was second with a personal best time of 2:09.84.

Eli Jacobs was third in the Pole Vault, matching a personal best with a height of 2.13 meters. Kade Smith was fourth, matching a personal best with a height of 1.83 meters.

Scotty Briggs was second in the Triple Jump with a personal best of 9.84 meters. Eli Jacobs was fourth with a personal best jump of 8.75 meters. Also getting a personal best was Myer Gibson with a jump of 7.47 meters.

Logan Hamilton was fourth in the Shot Put with a personal best throw of 8.22 meters. Caleb Ingsson was fifth with a personal best throw of 8.24 meters, beating his previous mark by 1.08 meters. Logan Hamilton was third in the Discus with a throw of 21.30 meters, a personal best by almost a meter.

For the girls, McKenna Hill was third in the 100 with a personal best time of 14.84. Tayley Johnson was fourth with a time of 14.87, matching a personal best. McKenna Hill was third in the 200 with a personal best time of 31.87. Amelia Long was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:20.03. Millie was fifth in the 800 with a time of 3:32.25. Quincy Norris was sixth with a time of 3:34.26. Draylee Davis was fifth in the 100 Hurdles with a personal best time of 20.83.

The 4x100 team of McKenna Hill, Draylee Davis, Tayley Johnson, and Hadley Williams was third with a personal best time of 1:00.72.

Amelia Long and Hadley Williams tied for fifth in the High Jump with a height of 1.17 meters. Tayley Johnson was tied for fourth in the Pole Vault with a height of 1.67 meters. Draylee Davis was tied for sixth with a height of 1.52 meters. Millie was fourth in the Long Jump with a personal best jump of 3.92 meters. Karsyn Smith got a personal best with a jump of 2.88 meters. Tayley Johnson got a personal best in the Triple Jump with a second place jump of 8.68 meters.

Quincy Norris was seventh in the Shot Put with a throw of 7.44 meters. She got a personal best in the Discus with a throw of 17.95 meters, beating her old mark by 1.26 meters.
