Michael Teeter 1952-2026

Michael Earl Teeter, 73, passed from this life on January 5, 2026, after a courageous two-year battle with multiple myeloma.

Mike was born on July 10, 1952 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Merle M. Teeter and Marjorie L. (Clark) Teeter, joining an older sister, Linda. He was a 1970 graduate of Pattonsburg High School. On January 26, 1974 he married Michelle Lynn Gault, and they made their home in Pattonsburg until 2024, when they moved to Gladstone, Missouri to be closer to cancer treatment. From their marriage came their only child, Heather.

Mike started out working at the Pattonsburg Feed Co. in 1974 before joining MFA Oil in 1980. He worked for MFA Oil for 35 years, making fuel deliveries to farmers and running the Pattonsburg bulk plant, retiring in 2015. He also ran his own business, Teeter Restoration & Service, doing every job from sandblasting and painting classic cars, to digging trenches and running plumbing. There was no job he couldn’t tackle.

In July 2019 he was promoted to the title of ‘Papa’ when his only grandchild, Lucy, was born. He was known for having M&Ms and snacks at the ready when she visited and teasing her relentlessly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, RJ Williams; his father-in-law, John L. Gault; his mother-in-law, Norma J. Gault; and his beloved beagle, Lucky.

Survivors include his wife, Lynne Teeter; daughter, Heather (Chris) Hamilton; granddaughter, Lucy Hamilton; sister, Linda (Jeff) Carter; brother-in-law, Michael (Diana) Gault; and several much-loved nephews, nieces, and friends.

At Mike’s request, no public services will be held, and he will be cremated under the direction of Roberson Funeral Home with a private inurnment at a later date.
