Trump Revokes TPS Status for Immigrants

On Thursday, the Trump Administration began notifying 532,000 immigrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela that they would have to leave. They were admitted in 2022 under a humanitarian parole program created by the Biden Administration. They had financial sponsors and had two-year work permits to work in the US, the Associated Press reported.

This move is part of Project 2025, the agenda proposed by Trump allies during the 2024 campaign. The project also calls for Congress to make E-Verify mandatory, tighten parole standards, and cut back on the H-1B program.
