June 21st — Annual Bryan Arnold Poker Run. Registration 12 noon. Poker Run 1 pm. Sloppy Joe’s, 5 pm to 7 pm. $15. Curtis Wayne Stroud Band, 7:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

The south side bar is open Fridays from 2 pm to 8 pm, Saturdays at 12 noon, and Sundays from 2 pm to 10 pm.

OATS Transit

OATS Transit is currently offering regular transportation services. To schedule a ride or to inquire about services available in your area, please call the OATS Transit office at 816-279-3131 or 800-831-9219. OATS Transit is available to the rural general public of any age, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. Additionally, we contract with various agencies to serve their clients. Our offices will be closed and regular service will not be operating on Thursday, June 19th for the Juneteenth Holiday.

June 6th to 8th — Resound Fest, Miracle Hills Ranch, Bethany. June 6th, 6 pm. All day June 7th. Community worship service June 8th at 9 am. Free admission; there may be a small charge for some activities.

June 7th to 8th — Free fishing days in Missouri. Anybody can fish in Missouri without a fishing permit. Other fishing regulations, such as size and possession limits, local permit requirements, and trespass laws remain in effect.

June 7th — Gear Grinders 7th Annual Car, Motorcycle, Tractor Show and New Hampton Festival. Registration 7 am. Voting begins at 1:30 pm. Breakfast and lunch available. Flea market, swap meet, vendors, and bounce house.

June 7th — A benefit for Linda Adwell will be held at the Gentry Lions Hall June 7th from 2 pm to 6 pm. Linda lost her husband, Darren, to a tragic accident in February.

June 7th — Lions All Star Classic, Hamilton, 6 pm.

June 7th — Pony Pull, 6 pm, Pickering. Sponsored by the Pickering Lions Club. Admission $6; under six free. Concessions available.

June 13th to 14th — Gilman City Fair. On June 13th, there will be a sheep and goat show at 9 am and a swine shoe at 6 pm. On June 14th, there will be a rabbit shot at 9:30 am and a beef show at 6 pm. The Gilman City FFA will host a BBQ both evenings at 5 pm. Proceeds will cover expenses for the national convention.
