The April 16th, 1891 Sheridan Advance reported on a surprise 50th birthday party for Mrs. Simeon Davidson on April 10th.
They were out of town the night before, and on returning, she and her husband found their home in possession of their friends.

Carroll and wife; linen towels and tablecloth, M. Shirley and wife; pair of linen towels and handkerchief, George Watson and wife; berry dish, Ray Davidson; tidy, W.D. Jenkins; dress pattern, Simeon Davidson; tidy set and silver spoons, Ed Powell and wife; steel engraving, Leslie Davidson; glass fruit dish, J.L. Coy and wife; paper holder, W.F. Holcomb and wife and F.D. Wetherell and wife.
