Junior High Tiger Girls Fifth, Boys Seventh at Stanberry

Worth County’s junior high girls were fifth and the boys seventh at Stanberry Thursday.

For the girls, Rock Port and Stanberry ran away with the meet with 146.5 for Rock Port and 124 for Stanberry. Princeton had 78, Albany 53, Worth County 29, Platte Valley 25, King City 18, North Harrison 10.5, Gallatin 8, and NEN 4.

For the boys, Stanberry had 92, King City 72, Rock Port 68, Princeton 64, Platte Valley 57, Gallatin 43, Worth County 32, NEN 21, North Harrison 18, Pattonsburg 16, and Albany 13.

For the girls, Brooklyn Smith was fourth in the 400 with a personal best time of 1:09.17. Laura Hansen got a personal best as well, with a time of 1:29.93. 

The 4x100 team was fourth with a time of 1:00.20. The 4x200 was fifth with a time of 2:08.92. The 4x400 was fifth with a time of 5:33.82.

Brooklyn Smith matched a personal best in the High Jump with a sixth place finish of 1.30 meters. Megan Tracy was fourth in the Pole Vault with a height of 2 meters. Brooklyn Smith was third in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.13 meters. Gracie Thurman got a personal best with a jump of 3.92. Audrey Runde was fourth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.34 meters. Megan Tracy was sixth with a jump of 8.16. 

Bella Blankenship got a personal best in the Discus with a sixth place throw of 20.96 meters. 

For the boys, Jordan Dannar was fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:07.77. 

The 4x100 relay team was fourth with a time of 56.62. The 4x200 was fifth with a time of 2:00.59. 

Bentley Frisch won the Pole Vault with a height of 3 meters. Maverick Cox was fourth in the Long Jump with a personal best of 5.10. Brock Healy was fourth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 9.68 meters. 

Maverick Cox tried his hand in the Shot Put and was fourth with a throw of 8.72 meters. Brock Healy was fifth in the Discus with a throw of 25.89. Wesley Brown got a personal best with a throw of 22.47 meters.

NEN

For the girls, the 4x100 was sixth with a personal best time of 1:01.94. The 4x400 was sixth with a time of 5:39.22. Newcomer Khloe Burns got a personal best in the Shot Put and placed fifth with a throw of 9.01 meters. Burns got another personal best in the Discus, where she had a throw of 18 meters.

For the boys, Wyatt Scadden was third in the 100 with a time of 14.09. Xander Bodle got a season best in the 200 with a time of 32.93. Wyatt Scadden was sixth in the 400 with a time of 1:08.43. Liam Cordell was sixth in the 800 with a time of 2:55.66. The Bluejays placed two in the 1600. Gracin Runde was fifth with a time of 6:16.98 and Liam Cordell was sixth with a time of 6:18.75. 

The 4x400 team was fifth with a time of 5:03.27.

Wyatt Scadden improved in the High Jump for the second meet in a row and tied for fourth with a height of 1.52 meters. 

The Bluejays placed two in the Discus. Brady O’Connell got fourth with a personal best 26.04. Jace Burns was sixth with a throw of 24.30.

North Harrison

For the girls, Hali Smith was sixth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 20.50. She was tied for fifth in the Pole Vault with a height of 1.85 meters. She was second in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.23 meters. 

For the boys, the Shamrocks placed two in the 100. Dalton Guy was fourth with a time of 14.28 and Jensen Davis was sixth with a time of 14.34. Guy was fifth in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 18.76. 

The 4x100 team got a personal best of 56.05 and finished third. The Shamrocks tried their hand at a new event, the 800 Sprint Medley, and finished sixth with a time of 2:14.13. 

Jensen Davis was sixth in the Long Jump with a jump of 4.71 meters. Dalton Guy was sixth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 9.37 meters. Kellan Craig was fifth in the Shot Put with a throw of 9.50.
