Trevin Bruce Wyllie, 18, of Pickering, Missouri, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., surrounded by his loving family.
Trevin was born July 31, 2008, in Maryville, Missouri, at St. Francis Hospital, to Ryan and Qt Wyllie. From the moment he entered their lives, Trevin was a force all his own. He brought laughter, stubbornness, mischief, and a love that could never be measured. He was, and always will be, their boy.
Trevin attended North Nodaway High School and proudly graduated as a North Nodaway Mustang, wearing number 15. He loved sports, especially basketball and baseball, as well as gaming, cars, fishing, and spending time with the people who mattered most to him.
Those who knew Trevin will never forget his personality. He was funny, sarcastic, stubborn, strong-willed, mouthy, and ornery. He could make you laugh when you probably shouldn't have been laughing, and he always seemed to have a comeback ready. He had a way of making his presence known, and there will never be another Trevin.
Behind that stubborn and sometimes smart-mouthed exterior was a young man with an enormous heart. Trevin loved his family deeply. He loved his friends, his teammates, and the people who stood beside him. He made connections that will remain long after his voice can no longer be heard.
Trevin was also a young man of strong faith. Throughout his life, and especially during the difficult days he faced, his faith carried him. He showed a courage and determination that inspired everyone around him. He never stopped being himself, and he continued to find reasons to laugh, to love, and to make memories with the people closest to him.
He leaves behind his parents, Ryan and Qt Wyllie; his sisters, Felicia of Grandview, Missouri, and Chandra of the home; his grandparents, Sandra Johnson of Spring Creek, Nevada; Diane Beason of Skidmore, Missouri; and Ivle and Tami Beason of Amazonia, Missouri.
He is also survived by his aunts and uncles, Cassie (Justin) of Spring Creek, Nevada; April (Donnie) of Maryville, Missouri; Cindy (Kiley) of Maryville, Missouri; Tom of Fairfax, Missouri; and Joe of Clinton, Missouri; as well as his cousins, Wyatt, Weston, Walker, Johnathan, Savannah, Caleb, Skyler, Brylie, Quen, Beau, Dak, Drake, and Jade; his lifelong best friend, Jordan DeLeon and his Basketball friends and family.
Trevin was preceded in death by his beloved great-grandmother, Lois Patten; his grandfather, Ronald Wyllie; and his uncle, James Douglas Beason.
Trevin's 18 years were far too short.
There should have been more basketball games. More baseball games. More fishing trips. More birthdays. More arguments and smart remarks. More late nights, more laughs, more memories, and more plans for the future. There should have been so much more life for Trevin to live.
But in those 18 years, Trevin left something behind that cannot be taken away. His family will carry forward the stories, the jokes, the fishing trips, the ball games, the family gatherings, and all the little moments that made life with Trevin uniquely Trevin. They will remember his stubborn spirit, his quick wit, his faith, his courage, and the enormous heart behind it all.
Although his journey was difficult, Trevin never allowed it to take away the things that made him who he was. His faith, his humor, his stubbornness, his courage, and his love for his family remained with him to the end.
Trevin's journey may have ended, but his story is not over.
His laughter, his faith, and his stubborn spirit will live on in everyone who knew him.
He will forever be our boy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on 2pm Sunday, October 4th at the Mozingo Event Center at Mozingo Lake. Burial will be held at a later date at the Hopkins Cemetery in Hopkins, Missouri.
Arrangements are under the direction of Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Missouri.
