12 Bluejay Junior High Track Records Fall

Twelve NEN junior high track records fell by the wayside this year.

For the boys, Gracin Runde set a record in the 800 with a time of 2:23.02. He also broke the Triple Jump record with a time of 9.53 meters.

The girls won the first two meets in at least 17 years, at the 275 Conference Meet and King City. Emma Wilmes broke the 100 record with a time of 13.76. Ellie Jackson broke the 200 with a time of 29.20. Emma Wilmes broke the 400 with a time of 1:05.14. Aubrey Wilmes broke the 800 with a time of 2:47.04. Kenzley Yost broke the 100 Hurdles with a time of 20.58. Kiley Yost broke the 1600 record with a time of 6:33.91.

The 4x100 team of Bexlie Busby, Kenzley Yost, Khloey Burns, and Ellie Jackson set a new record time of 59.05. The 4x400 team of Aubrey Wilmes, Kenzley Yost, Ellie Jackson, and Emma Wilmes set a new record at the 275 with a time of 4:35.08. Khloe Burns set two new records, throwing the discus with a distance of 22.62 meters and the Shot Put with a distance of 10.63 meters.
