Area Courthouse, Police, and Crime Reports for August 13th, 2025

On August 4th, Yusuf Osmon (37) of Columbus (OH) pleaded guilty in Nodaway County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Failure to Drive on Right Half of Roadway (Accident). He was sentenced to seven days in jail with credit for time served. The defendant made restitution of $226 to the victim.

On August 5th, Jason Habhegger (52) of Gallatin pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Peace Disturbance. He was placed on two years probation by Judge Micha Lea Dixon. Defendant may have no abusive contact with employees of the Winston school district.

On August 5th, Alexsandr Barkov (42) of Seattle pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident). He was fined $80.50 plus costs by Judge Micha Lea Dison.

On August 5th, Benjamin Gray (32) of Cainsville pleaded guilty in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Peace Disturbance. He was fined $250 plus costs and ordered to pay $300 to the Harrison County Law Enforcement Restitution Fund.

On August 5th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Joseph Fender (62) of Gilman City in Daviess County on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and No Valid License. Charges were subsequently filed on August 6th by Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson. Bond was denied.

On August 5th, Dustin Gamble (23) pleaded guilty in Daviess County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Assault. He was sentenced to 10 days in jail by Judge Micha Lea Dixon.

On August 6th, Bryan Stark Jr. (32) of Gallatin pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to a charge of Domestic Assault (Felony). A sentencing assessment report was ordered and defendant will be sentenced at a later date.

On August 6th, Christopher Thomas (23) of New Hampton was sentenced in Daviess County Circuit Court to five years probation, fined $103.50 plus costs, and ordered to pay probation fees of $735 by Judge Daren Atkins. The defendant had pleaded guilty on June 4th to charges of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony) and No Insurance.

On August 6th, Lawrence Olsen (57) of Kansas City pleaded guilty in Daviess County Circuit Court to two counts of Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony). He was sentenced to six years in the Missouri Department of Corrections by Judge Daren Atkins.

On August 6th, Levi McDaniel (18) of Bethany pleaded guilty in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Careless & Imprudent Driving (Accident). He was placed on probation for one year by Judge Jay Hemenway. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of DWI and was sentenced to two days in jail.

On August 6th, Brian Cuchetti (32) of Albany pleaded guilty in Gentry County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Stealing. He was assessed $315.50 in fines and costs by Judge Rebecca McGinley.

On August 6th, KTTN reported that Katie Corum (30) of Galt was sentenced to 14 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections for Trafficking Drugs (Felony) and Unlawful Use of a Weapon (Felony) in the Daviess County Circuit Court. She was also sentenced to six months in the Daviess-DeKalb Regional Jail for No Valid License and 30 days for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. All sentences are consecutive.

On August 7th, Judge Corey Herron revoked the probation of Robert Fry (45) of New Boston (TX) and sentenced him to three years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. The defendant had been on probation for DWI (Felony). He was given credit for 98 days served.

On August 7th, Joshua Savick (32) of Cainsville pleaded guilty in Harrison County Associate Circuit Court to a charge of Peace Disturbance. Sentencing will be held at a later date.

On August 7th, Judge Corey Herron sentenced Christopher Holloway (32) of Peculiar to 7 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections. The defendant had previously pled guilty to charges of Burglary (Felony) and Damage to a Critical Infrastructure Facility (Felony). Defendant was given credit for 34 days served. Defendant must make restitution of $18,050.06 to the Northwest Electric Power Cooperative.

On August 7th, Harrison County Prosecutor Michael Wulff filed charges against Jose Rosales (39) of Houston (TX) alleging Speeding (97 mph) and No Valid License.

On August 7th, Misty Miller (35) of Chillicothe pleaded guilty in Livingston County Circuit Court to a charge of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. A sentencing hearing will be held at a later date.

On August 7th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Cheyenne Wenzel (26) of Braddyville alleging Stealing. An affidavit from the Maryville Police Department alleges the defendant stole $146.63 in merchandise from the Maryville Wal-Mart.

On August 8th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Darrell Zukowski (56) of St. Joseph in Nodaway County on charges of DWI and Speeding.

On August 8th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested Charles Wilmes (33) of Lenexa (KS) in Nodaway County on charges of DWI (Drugs) and Speeding (86 mph).

On August 8th, Gentry County Prosecutor Jessica Jones filed charges against Mallory Swain (25) of Kansas City alleging two counts Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device (Felony). An affidavit from the Missouri State Highway Patrol alleges the defendant debited $8,957.77 from her great-grandmother’s debit card. Bond was set at $5,000, cash only.

On August 8th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a Bethany man was injured in a boat collision at Harrison County Lake at around 3:59  pm.

On August 9th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a 16 year old Gilman City teen received minor injuries at around 3:45 pm when a Dodge Ram struck two vehicles, a Ford Bronco and a Kia Forte, from behind on Route 69 in Winston as they were both trying to make a left turn. The teen was driving the Kia Forte.

On August 9th, KTTN reported that two vacant buildings in Spickard that were formerly used as businesses were destroyed by fire. The Missouri State Fire Marshal’s office classified the blaze as suspicious. There were no injuries.

On August 9th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Joshua Lisle alleging two counts Domestic Assault (Felony). Defendant was released on his own recognizance. Defendant may not contact victim and must wear a GPS device. 

On August 9th, Nodaway County Prosecutor Tina Dieter filed charges against Brett Pointer (32) of Pickering alleging Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (Felony), Possession of Controlled Substance (Felony), and Possession of Controlled Substance and Firearm (Felony). Bond was set at $10,000, cash or corporate surety.

On August 10th, Daviess County Prosecutor Andrea Beth Gibson filed charges against Sagun Gonzalez (37) of Hamilton alleging DWI (Felony). Defendant was released on his own recognizance. Defendant must wear SCRAM alcohol monitor.

On August 10th, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a Jamesport man was injured around 4:45 am when his Polaris UTV failed to negotiate a curve on Topper Avenue at 320th Street in Daviess County and overturned, ejecting the driver.

Charges listed are merely allegations. Evidence in support of the charges must be presented before a court of competent jurisdiction whose duty it is to determine guilt or innocence. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
