Andrew Bailey Steps Down as Missouri Attorney General

Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey has stepped down to become a Co-Deputy Director of the FBI under President Donald Trump, the Missouri Attorney General’s Office announced Monday. His resignation will be effective September 8th.

Mr. Bailey has filed numerous lawsuits fighting former President Joe Biden’s Student Loan Forgiveness Programs, transgender surgery, and a lawsuit alleging Mr. Biden and social media companies were colluding to censor conservative speech. His office helped force St. Louis Circuit Attorney Kim Gardner out of office and is now pursuing felony charges against St. Louis County Executive Sam Page.

On Tuesday, Governor Mike Kehoe announced the appointment of Catherine Hanaway as his successor. She is the first woman to become Missouri Attorney General. She has served as a US Attorney for Eastern Missouri, where she tried thousands of cases.
