Three Tigers are looking to headline Worth County’s track squads this year. Emma Spencer will return for the speed events on the girls side. She has signed to continue her track career at Northwest. Eva Engel, the current school record holder in the Pole Vault, will look to defend her title, while hurdler Lucas Frisch will look to excel on the boys side. The challenge for coaches Janice Borey on the girls side and Cree Beverlin on the boys side will be to build a cast around them.
The future is bright for Tiger track, which has high numbers of athletes participating in the junior high. There are 13 boys and 18 girls out for track this year for junior high.
