Sharon Titus, 81, of Creston, died February 26, 2025, at Greater Regional Health in Creston, IA. There will be no public services scheduled at this time. The burial will be at Hopkins Cemetery in Hopkins, Mo. at a later date. Memorials are to the family. Online condolences can be given on at www.powersfh.com.
Sharon Sue (Day) Titus was born December 23, 1943, in Junction City, Kan. to Charles Edward Day and Thelma Leona (Bogart) Day. Sharon attended Junction City community schools.
She was united in marriage to Ronald Logan DeMott in Hopkins, Missouri where the two settled on a farm. From this union came a daughter, Kathy. Sharon worked as an active farm wife and mother. Later, she was employed at the State Line Café as a waitress. Ronald passed away in 1970.
She was later united in marriage to Rick Titus and the two made their home in Texas where she was a homemaker. Sharon adopted her son, David, in 1982. The family moved several times between Texas, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Iowa before settling in Iowa. Sharon and Rick later divorced.
She enjoyed watching Billy Graham among others, and her westerns, including Walker Texas Ranger with Chuck Norris.
Sharon is survived by her children, Kathy DeMott of Creston and Anthony David Titus of Creston; her sisters, Jeannie (Charles) Yoho of Kepner, Tx. and Diana (Tommy) Monroe of Virginia City Highlands, Nev.; six grandchildren, Logan (Emily) Jackson of Afton, Lindsey Jackson of De Soto, Anthony Titus of Creston, Lucius Titus of Creston, Kenzie Titus of Creston and David Jeremiah Titus of Creston; along with her two great-grandchildren, Austin Jackson (Keira Christensen of Fontanelle) of Afton and Garrett Sharp of Osceola.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald DeMott in 1970; brother, Charles “Speedy” Day; and two sisters, Ida Darby and Bonnie Bix.
