Everett Campbell 1938-2025

      It was with great sadness we announce the passing of Everett Dee Campbell Sr. He left this world on March 9, 2025 in Grant City, Missouri. He will be deeply missed by so many who knew him, his witty sense of humor, hilarious story teller and always the best advice giver. 

     Everett was born in Allendale, Missouri on June 27, 1938 to Wilburn and Mary (Comer) Campbell . He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1958 traveling the world before coming home to the woman he loved, Gladys” Marie” Roach. They were married on July 29, 1958. Everett was a farm hand for many years, working for a lot of local farmers. Later in life, after his kids were grown he worked for Worth County Road and Bridge crew as a supervisor, building many of the well made bridges here. He left a lasting impact on the community, retiring in 2000.  He was baptized into the kingdom of heaven in 2003. 

     Everett was preceded in death by his wife Marie, being married over 50 years,  parents, grandson Patrick Russell Ferrell and a granddaughter Elizabeth Taylor Lakey, three brothers: Robert, Duane and Allen, two sisters: Wilma Thurman and Leota Roach and many other family members. 

     He is survived by his four children: Avona Campbell, Rhonda (Gary) Brown, Everett Jr and Dan (Dena) Campbell; 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. 

     Everett enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, gardening, fishing, singing and playing the harmonica, woodworking and more. The family thanks everyone for their prayers, condolences and support. 

     A visitation with family present will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at  Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home in Grant City, Missouri. A family burial will be a later date.
