Marvin Lowrance 1935-2025

Marvin Laverne Lowrance passed into the presence of God and his loved ones on March 11, 2025.

Born to Marvin and Gladys Lowrance on February 1, 1935, he was the youngest of three children.

On May 2, 1954, he married Margaret Louise Bridgewater, and together they shared a beautiful life full of adventures until her passing on April 3, 2022.

Affectionately known as "Vern" to all who knew him, he spent his life making a tremendous impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path. A hard worker, he took on any job that came his way, but his greatest joy came from farming alongside his family.

A longtime member of Hopkins Baptist Church, Vern served as a Deacon, sharing the word of God with many throughout the years. His greatest joy in life was his wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret; his children, Michael, Julie, Sherry, and a premature child; his parents; his brother, Charles; his sister, Lois Jean; and his brothers-in-law, Nelson Keever, Ralph Bridgewater, Earl Bridgewater, and Eldon Bridgewater.

He is survived by his sons, Randy (Becky) Lowrance and Mark (Jeri) Lowrance; his son-in-law, Stuart Carmichael; and his grandchildren: Christopher Lowrance, Kelly Miller, Jenny (Morgan) Acosta, Travis (Brittany) Shell, Kristen Vogel, Amanda (Shaun) Hager, and Ryan (Amber) Vogel. He was also blessed with many great-grandchildren.

A special thanks to those who showed him such care and compassion, becoming family along the way: Becki, Michele, Roe, Alyssa, Lisa, Rachel, Jim, and all of the wonderful people at Mosaic Hospice Care and in the community.

Services were 10am Saturday, March 15th at Price Funeral Home. Burial was at Hopkins Cemetery, Hopkins, Missouri. The family suggests memorials to the Pickering Community Center.
