“Spaghetti Western” to Play at Rose Theatre

The Rose Theatre announces four performances of “Spaghetti Western,” a melodrama with 24 local actors from 4th through 8th grades. The play will be presented March 20th and 21st at 7 pm and March 22nd and 23rd at 2 pm. All performances will be at the Rose Theatre, 120 West Third, Maryville.

Tickets are $8 plus a small fee and are available at the Rose Theatre website.

The melodrama revolves around Granny Smith and her granddaughter, Petunia Pearl, who face foreclosure on their hotel, the Hoot ‘n Holler. Villain Duke Dreadful plans to take over the hotel and force Petunia to marry him. World traveler Bonnie Voyage offers a remedy for the situation; enter and win a spaghetti sauce contest and win the $25 prize money. But will Granny’s secret recipe be good enough to win? Will Duke Dreadful force Petunia to marry him? Or will Sheriff Ketchum save the day and the heroine?
