Junior High Mustangs Get First Meet Underway

The North Nodaway junior high track team competed in its first track meet Thursday at Tarkio. For the girls, Rock Port had 113.50, East Atchison 52.50, South Holt 16, Nodaway Valley 8, and North Nodaway 3. For the boys, Rock Port had 74, Nodaway Valley 47, East Atchison 46, South Holt 22, and North Nodaway 6.

For the girls, Trynzlee Ebrecht got a personal best in the 200 with a time of 32.80. Ebrecht also got a personal best in the 100 Hurdles, with a time of 20.37. 

The 4x200 team of Trynzlee Ebrecht, Eliza Clements, Chandra Wyllie, and Zoey Phillips was third with a time of 2:20.30.

Zoey Phillips got a personal best in the Long Jump with a jump of 3.01 meters. That was an improvement of .76 of a meter over last year. 

For the boys, Jackson Keho got a personal best in the 100 with a time of 13.56. That was .87 of a second better than last year. Robbie Forney also got a personal best with a time of 15.57. Forney showed dramatic improvement in the 200, where he improved by over six seconds and got a time of 32.10. Connor Pearson improved by over 17 seconds in the 1600, finishing with a time of 6:22.93. Draven Rader improved his time in the 100 Hurdles from last year by over three seconds, finishing with a time of 25.05.

The 4x100 team of Reed Martin, Owen Coleman, Robbie Forney, and Jackson Keho was third with a time of 59.59. The 4x200 team of Tristen Wray, Trenton Roberts, Cade Miller, and Hayden Marriott was fourth with a time of 2:18.61. The 4x400 team of Gannon Stricker, Conner Pearson, Draven Rader, and Hudson Alexander was fourth with a time of 5:36.32.

Robbie Forney got a personal best in the High Jump and finished third with a height of 1.37 meters. 

Jackson Keho got a personal best in the Triple Jump with a jump of 8.89 meters.
