The nature of the game was such that the stats were seriously skewed as Steven Willhite had “only” 151 yards in one quarter of work. Backup Kaden De Jong completed 8 of 18 pass attempts for another 129 yards. Pattonsburg feasted on Braymer miscues, recovering four fumbles, one of which was scooped and returned for a score by Carter Crone. Dakota Eaton returned a punt 63 yards for a score, while Patrick Cowley returned two kickoffs for scores. Cowley had 3 kickoff returns for 141 yards, with a long return of 65 yards. Pattonsburg had over 200 return yards. Eight different Panthers scored touchdowns.
Kaden De Jong forced two fumbles and had two fumble recoveries. Kaden Koch had one fumble recovery, while Carter Crone had one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Kaden De Jong had 8 carries for 37 yards, while Brody Langfitt had 2 carries for 6 yards.
Patrick Cowley had 5 catches for 103 yards for the Panthers. Brody Langfitt had 4 catches for 66 yards, Login Goll had 2 catches for 40 yards, Brett Emig had 1 catch for 25 yards, Dakota Eaton had 1 catch for 16 yards, Sam Coin 1 catch for 14 yards, Jacob Zerbe 1 catch for 9 yards, and Carter Crone 1 catch for 3 yards. Eight different Panthers caught passes, and out of their 16 completions, seven went for scores.
Defensively, 17 different Panthers had tackles. Login Goll had 8, Jacob Zerbe 5, Carter Crone 4, Sam Coin, Kaden Koch, and Brandon Hamilton 3, Brett Emig, Brody Langfitt, Patrick Cowley, Dakota Eaton, Eldon Wise, and Kason Butler all had 2, and Kaleb Renken, Kaden Locker, Ryelin Hulett, and Flint Pinkley all had 1.
It all added up to a victory ritual which the Panther players do after every home win. They surround the bell outside the stadium, and they ring it, 94 times in this case. If nobody can figure out how to stop them, it will be rung many more times before the season is out.
