Eight Man Media Poll Keeps Worth County at Third

The Missouri Eight Man Coaches Association conducted their media poll and the top rankings were unchanged. There was a shakeup at the bottom, as some teams got in and others dropped out.
Mound City received 66 points to stay at the top, following by Pattonsburg with 63. Worth County had 57, East Atchison 52, Stanberry 39, North Andrew 35, Orrick 20, Southwest Livingston 15, DeKalb 14, and King City 6.

Also receiving votes were Osceola 5, Albany and Rock Port 3, Appleton City, South/Nodaway-Holt, and Stewartsville 2, and LeBlond 1.

Mound City and Pattonsburg each got three first place votes, while Worth County got one. Seven teams appeared in all ballots – Mound City, Pattonsburg, Worth County, East Atchison, Stanberry, North Andrew, and Orrick.

Braymer, which has a new coach and is playing the numbers game, played a full game against Stanberry, but the Bulldogs could put together a win it for Kameron Wallace run if they iron out the kinks. Orrick stumbled last year against winless St. Joseph Christian after winning their first six games, but coaches are wary of the Bearcat squad, which won nine games last year. Southwest Livingston still got votes despite getting throttled by East Atchison.

Osceola got an impressive win over Northwest/Hughesville, which coops with Sacred Heart this year. Appleton City got an impressive win in their eight man debut, while Stewartsville beat North/West Nodaway 36-14 in their opener and has a standout quarterback in Cain Rush.
