On September 4, 2019, a gentleman contacted the Sheriff’s Office and requested a well-being check of a woman he was performing home repairs for. The woman who had hired him was not answering the door or phone when he arrived to her rural Maryville home as scheduled. Deputy Logan and Deputy Riley went to the residence and saw that her car was home and her mail had not been picked up for several days. Deputies forced their way into the home and found the woman unconscious and in a life-threatening medical emergency. Emergency Medical crews were summoned and the woman was transported to MOSAIC in Maryville.
I commend the gentleman that recognized the need to check on the woman and the actions of Deputy Logan and Deputy Riley. All contributed to save her life. Well done!
