Obituary -- Patricia Clark 1951-2019

Patricia Ann (Brown) Clark was born October 14, 1951 in Mt. Ayr, Iowa to Rex and Bernice (Smith) Brown.  She passed away after a battle with cancer on August 10, 2019 at her home in Phoenix, Arizona.

Pat was raised on a farm in Blockton, Iowa with her four brothers and one sister. She was baptized on April 14, 1968 and is a member of the Blockton Christian Church. She attended grade school in Blockton and graduated from Bedford High School in 1969.

On June 3, 1970 Pat was united in marriage to Robert Clark. To this union three children were born.  As a family Pat and Robert reside in various towns in Iowa and Nebraska but called Phoenix, Arizona their home for the past 30 years.

Pat worked for 18 years at the Cave Creek Carrier Annex for USPS. She also worked and managed Subway. She loved her poodles and spoiled each one she cared for. She enjoyed spending time in Iowa after her retirement. They had recently purchased a house in Blockton and were going to be “Snow Birds.”

Pat loved to shop, whether it was at Target with her husband and daughter or going to a garage sale with her sister.

Left to cherish her memory are husband, Bob; children: Robert E. Clark of East Berlin, PA, Troy E. Clark of Phoenix, AZ, Robin (Justin) O’Connor of Surprise,  AZ; grandchildren: Steven and Madison Clark of Mechancisburg, PA; mother, Bernice Brown; brothers: Richard, Donald, (Janet) Brown; sister, Shirley (Delbert) Molt; step-father-in-law Darrel Mercer; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pat was preceded in death by her father, Rex Brown; brothers: Rex Eugene and Steven Ray Brown; sister-in-law, Joyce Brown; mother and father –in-law Lucille Mercer and Roy Clark and brother-in-law Donald Clark.

Memorial services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday, September 14, 2019 at the Blockton Christian Church in Blockton, Iowa. Inurnment will be at a late date in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Blockton. A memorial fund has been established in her name to be decided at a later date.
