Brooklyn Richardson struck out six Bulldogs as Worth County’s junior high came away with a 3-1 win over Stanberry Tuesday to start a three game sweep of the Bulldogs. She started off wildly and Stanberry got a 1-0 lead. But when Worth County got out of the inning with no further damage done, she settled down and pitched well, consistently keeping the ball down and keeping it in the infield.
Worth County came back to score two in the first and added another in the third when Lanie Cousatte singled in a run. Autumn Cousatte tagged out two Stanberry runners trying to score on passed balls, while first baseman Zee Anna Gladstone had a catch.
In addition to Lanie Cousatte, Autumn Cousatte and Abbi Brown had hits for the Tigers.
