The council passed a franchise agreement with KCP&L that will cover the next 20 years. Dan Hegeman was there representing the electric company.
Work has begun on excavating a new home in town.
Joe Hertl reported that if the weather holds up that some painting work would be done.
Hertl also announced his resignation from the Transportation Advisory Committee. He said that he would stay on until a representative was found to take his place. Hertl and the city will find someone to replace him.
It was reported that one picnic table was cracked, but that the rest were all structurally sound even though they have been in the Allendale Park for the last 20+ years.
The next council meeting will be June 13th at 7 p.m.
