The Northwest Medical Center Foundation recently completed a
purchase agreement of the former Casey’s General Store land and building in
Grant City. The building will undergo an exterior and interior transformation
and become a rural health clinic for the Worth County area. This clinic will
replace the existing Northwest Medical Center clinic in Grant City.
“This is a
significant reinvestment to provide outstanding medical care for the residents
in Worth County and serve as its hometown health care provider,” said Jon
Doolittle, Northwest Medical Center president.
Plans are still under
development and construction is expected to begin in 2018, with work completed
by 2019. The building is located on the north side of the highway in Grant
City.
“The clinic will be larger and designed to include
additional local capabilities and promote an even better patient experience,”
said Doolittle.
Katie Dias, DO and Callie Hunter, APRN will serve as medical
staff of the clinic.
“This is another example of how the partnership with Mosaic
Life Care and Northwest Medical Center is bringing together our strengths to
ensure quality health care access and economic vitality in this area,” said
Doolittle. “Grant City is one of our beloved hometowns and we are thrilled to
offer this expansion and improvement of our current clinic to the residents of
Worth County.”
