Oliver Eighmy Involved in St. Joseph Accident

Oliver Eighmy of Grant City was involved in a St. Joseph accident Saturday at around 6:30 p.m. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a 1997 Oldsmobile driven by Eighmy was northbound on the Northbound I-29 exit ramp to 169. A 2008 Toyota driven by Harold Adams of St. Joseph was northbound on 169. Eighmy failed to stop for a red light and struck the Adams vehicle in the passenger side. The Eighmy vehicle came to rest off the east side and the Adams vehicle came to rest in the middle of the intersection. Both Adams and a passenger, Wanda Adams of St. Joseph received minor injuries in the accident. Eighmy was not injured. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
