Junior High Girls Win GRC Meet Again; Win All Meets in 2011

Worth County's Junior High girls won the GRC Conference meet for the second year in a row and beat out Gallatin and Hamilton to cap a season in which they won all their track meets. This included several strong challenges from Gallatin. Fears that Hamilton would put up a juggernaut like they have in varsity competition did not materialize as the Hornets were third. Worth County finished with 99 team points, followed by Gallatin with 87 and Hamilton with 77.

Worth County finished 2-3 in the Shot Put. Kaitlyn Davidson was somewhat off her distance at the Tiger Relays last week, but her performance was still good enough to place second. In a close race with Hamilton, the 4x200 Relay Team was second with a time of 2:03.74. That was similar to their time last week and .38 of a second behind Hamilton. They were well ahead of the rest of the field. Team members were Crystal Davis, Malori Moellenberndt, Rikky Hunt, and Kenna LaFollette.

The Tigers came third in the 4x100. The team of Crystal Davis, Rikky Hunt, Kenna LaFollette, and Malori Moellenberndt came in with a time of 59.15, which was 1.43 seconds off the pace of Maysville. It was .34 of a second off their pace set last week at the Tiger Relays.
