At Least Seven Records Topple at Elementary Track Meet

At least seven records toppled at the Worth County Elementary Track Meet Friday. Jill Hardy broke the 2nd grade record that Kaylee McElvain set last year as she won the 400 despite running with her eyes closed much of the time. Kaylee McElvain, who has rewritten the elementary record books in the 400 as well, did so again by setting a record in the 400 for the 3rd graders. Rachael Gardner broke the softball throw record for her age group as she won with a throw of 131'4". That would have placed her second in the boys division.

Drake Kinsella set a record for his age group in the Shot Put as he broke that record with a throw of 29'6". Elizabeth Lyle broke the record for 4th graders in the Long Jump as she recorded a jump of 10'4". Caleb Parman set the softball throw record for his age group with a throw of 137 feet. Haley Hunt broke the High Jump record for 6th graders as she got a jump of 3'5".
