Junior High Tiger Teams Edged Out at King City Wildkat Relays

The Worth County junior high track teams were edged out at King City Tuesday, April 4th with the girls being edged out by Stanberry and the boys by Princeton. Both North Harrison teams had some impressive showings at King City, both finishing in the top five.

For the girls, Stanberry had 135, Worth County 94, Albany 78, Princeton 71, North Harrison 49, Winston 39, King City 31, Braymer 28, Union Star 21, North Nodaway 17, and Stewartsville/Osborn 6. For the boys, Princeton had 136, Worth County 126, Stanberry 83, North Harrison 46, Braymer 41, North Andrew 38, Albany 33, King City 33, Winston 24, Union Star 14, North Nodaway 9, and Stewartsville/Osborn 2.

For the girls, Sumer Riley was fourth in the 100 with a time of 15.66, close to a personal best. Addison Gray was fifth in the 400 with a time of 1:19.06. Kristen Tracy was fourth in the 800 with a time of 3:09.54. 

In the 100 Hurdles, Kristen Tracy was fifth with a time of 21.36. Kambree Briner was sixth with a time of 21.81. 

The 4x100 team was second with a time of 59.78. The 4x200 team was fourth with a time of 2:05.97. The 4x400 team was third with a time of 5:18.55. 

Kristen Tracy was second in the High Jump with a jump of 4’1¼”, a personal best.  Kambree Briner was eighth with a height of 3’7¼”. Sara Fletchall won the Pole Vault with a height of 7’¾”. Megan Tracy was third with a height of 5’1¾”. 

Addison Gray was second in the Long Jump with a personal best of 13’3”, over a foot longer than her previous best. Sumer Riley was fifth with a jump of 12’5¼”, also a personal best. Alivia Moyer improved her distance in the Triple Jump by over two feet and finished second with a jump of 28’2½”. Audrey Runde was fifth and also got a personal best with a jump of 26’4½”. 

Kristen Tracy was sixth in the Shot Put with a throw of 24’11¾”. Emslee Spainhower got a personal best with a throw of 22’7¼”. Alivia Moyer got a personal best and finished seventh in the Discus with a throw of 55’9”. 

For the boys, Bo Collins won the 100 with a time of 13.01. Bo also won the 200 with a time of 25.20, close to a personal best. Cole Ruby was second in the 400 with a time of 1:04.79. Hayden Sanders was fourth with a time of 1:09.57. 

The Tigers were 1-2 in the 100 Hurdles. Cole Ruby won with a time of 18.66. Dylan Smith was second with a time of 19.84. 

The 4x100 team was third with a time of 54.48, close to a personal best. The 4x200 was fifth with a personal best 2:01.55. The 4x400 team took nine seconds off their time and finished third with a time of 4:47.20. 

Maverick Cox was sixth in the High Jump with a height of 4’7”. Hayden Sanders was second in the Pole Vault with a height of 7’6½”. Bentley Frisch was seventh with a height of 6’6¾”. 

Cole Ruby was fourth in the Long Jump with a jump of 15’1½”. Caleb New was sixth with a jump of 14’4¾”. Dylan Smith got a personal best in the Triple Jump and finished second with a jump of 32’6½”. Caleb New was third in the Triple Jump with a personal best 32 feet. 

Bo Collins got his third win of the day in the Shot Put, getting a throw of 44’4¾”. Ethan Lininger was third with a throw of 34’5½”, close to a personal best. Collins was third in the Discus with a throw of 120’6”. Lininger was seventh with a throw of 87’3¼”. 

North Nodaway

Laney Turner was third in the 1600 with a time of 7:49.13. Zoey Phillips was fifth with a time of 7:56.60. The 4x200 relay team was seventh with a time of 2:21.38. The 4x400 team was fifth with a personal best time of 5:29.39. Eliza Clements was eighth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 23’8¾”. 

For the boys, the 4x200 relay team knocked eight seconds off their time and got seventh with a time of 2:11.65. The 4x400 team knocked 36 seconds off their time and finished sixth with a time of 5:14.14. Ridge Harger was fifth in the High Jump with a height of 4’7”. 

North Harrison

Raegan Hogan was third in the 100 with a time of 15.59. Hali Smith was seventh in the 200 with a time of 33.65, and Jaxcynn Hansel was eighth with a time of 33.78. Hali Smith was third in the 100 Hurdles and got a personal best of 21.16. The 4x100 team was seventh with a time of 1:04.49. The 4x200 team was sixth with a time of 2:19.57. The 4x400 team was fourth with a time of 5:29.14. 

The Shamrocks placed two in the High Jump. Gracie Young was fourth with a height of 3’9¼”. Peyton Kerr was fifth, also with a height of 3’9¼”. Lani Briggs was seventh in the Long Jump with a jump of 12 feet. Ava Rinehart was sixth in the Triple Jump with a jump of 24’5”. 

Jaxcynn Hansel improved her Discus throw by 10 feet and won with a throw of 76’11¼”. 

For the boys, Lane Graham was fifth in the 100 with a time of 14.24. Lane was fourth in the 200 with a time of 28.05.  Tate Richardson was fourth in the 1600 with a time of 6:05.68. The 4x400 team was fourth with a time of 4:44.06. 

Tate Richardson matched a personal best and placed second in the High Jump with a height of 4’11”. Landon Johnson was eighth with a height of 4’7”. 

Lane Graham beat his personal mark in the Long Jump by almost two feet and finished second with a jump of 16’10¼”. Tate Richardson got another personal best in the Triple Jump, beating his previous mark by 2 feet, and won with a jump of 32’6½”. Cole Hartschen also got a personal best, getting a jump of 22’5”.
